Job Summary
Come join our team! At Homewatch CareGivers of Malden, we are looking for compassionate caregivers to provide quality in-home care during daytime hours. We have an immediate opening for HHAs and CNAs in the Melrose-Stoneham, MA area. The available shifts are flexible, 12-36hrs/week, with opportunities to pick up more hours if desired. Reliability is a must for this weekday position! This is a great opportunity for extra income while giving back to the community.

 
Responsibilities 

  •  Occasionally drive client to local parks or errands around the neighborhood
  • This position allows for a full scope of interaction with the client in their home
  • Ability to work a consistent weekday shift
  • Provide routine individualized care to the client
  • Provide patient personal care and companionship
  • Monitor and report changes in patient health status
  • Perform light housekeeping including laundry and tidy patient's room
  • Ability to document care provided
  • Utilize excellent communication skills

Requirements

  • HHA or CNA required and must be able to provide verification of any certifications held
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facility
  • Must pass national and multi-jurisdictional background checks, Department of Motor Vehicle checks, as well as TB and drug screening tests
  • Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts and follow standard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
 

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • HHA or CNA certification
  • Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields is a plus
  • Positive, caring and patient personality
  • Ability to make engaging conversation with client
  • Ability to handle a light physical workload
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
